Our Cooperation and Competition Directorate (CCD) are responding to lots of requests for informal advice, and the number continues to grow.
The queries we receive are very varied as are the facts on the ground in each case. This means that what works in one area won’t necessarily work in another but the challenges people face in commissioning and providing services are often similar.
Through this blog, the CCD team will share some of our learning in helping commissioners work through local issues, including advice we have given to help develop solutions to common problems and examples of good practice that we have come across.
As the sector regulator for health services in England, Monitor’s job is to make the health sector work better for patients.
